Registered Nurse - Renal Unit

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will provide direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in the Renal Unit. This will include haemodialysis and haemodifiltration. You will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies. In addition, you will participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.

You must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate, and have one year (minimum) current/ recent acute nursing experience. Able to liaise and work cohesively within a multidisciplinary organisation, you must have well developed communication, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Having demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will possess sound knowledge of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting including renal knowledge. A confident relationship builder with a proven commitment to providing quality client services including consumer participation, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
