Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Systems Accountant (SQL, Power BI, Oracle Reporting, SAAS):

  • Develop and manage the companywide forecasting and budgeting tools and process
  • Further develop and manage company and business unit dashboard reporting
  • Extract insight from company and business unit results for reporting to the Finance Director and Executive Team
  • Develop and manage the business' Business Intelligence tools and take responsibility for their administration and maintenance
  • Auditing of the business' Data, and ensuring measures are in place to validate the key data repositories used
  • To manage an assistant and in time a small team.

MAIN DUTIES - Systems Accountant (SQL, Power BI, Oracle Reporting, SAAS):

  • Support the Finance Director in the development and implementation of the company-wide business plan initiative, budgets and forecasts
  • Development, implementation and analysis of company and personal KPI reporting;
  • Further development of consolidated and business sector dashboards (Exec, Sales, Sales Operations; Services Operations, Purchasing, Finance, HR, Logistics)
  • Development of a short term cashflow forecasts
  • Maintenance of sales reports
  • Maintenance of management accounts preparation tools
  • Development and administration of the central Business Intelligence tools
  • Ensure report requests are developed and executed in such a manner that ad hoc reports can be structured into a scalable reporting toolset that can be used for all of the business
  • Manage the reports development list at the direction of the Executive Team;
  • Design exception reports that validate the quality of data within the various atabases that the business use
  • Producing ad hoc reporting and analysis for the Executive Team as required
  • Train employees on the use of standardised reporting and how to run reports independently

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Systems Accountant (SQL, Power BI, Oracle Reporting, SAAS):

  • Strong analytical skills, most likely from a financial perspective
  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Management of self and others, role will comprise daily business as usual requirements and various longer term initiatives
  • Curious - Keen to provide new insight, identifies and acts upon opportunities for improvemen
  • Strong system tools - experience in Microsoft ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and use of BI packages such as: SQL, Power BI, Oracle Reporting, SAAS
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - desirable
  • Experience working for an IT Solutions provider - desirable
