This Payroll Officer position based in Cambridge is to work closely with the International Payroll Manager in ensuring payroll cycle is managed effectively and accurately and to maintain payroll records accordingly. This leading International Consultancy company require someone to support the Payroll team with the day to day running of the payroll and ensure all records fulfil compliance and audit purposes.

Description
Payroll Officer Process
- Support and deputise for the International Payroll Manager in the running of the full payroll cycle for UK and various International Payroll markets, ensuring all time frames are met
- To create employees records on the payroll system and send new starter data to the relevant third party payroll provider in the required format and timescales
- To process adjustments required for starters, leavers and any changes to employee's records as well as notify the relevant third party payroll provider
- Be able to carry out manual calculations (SSP, SMP, Tax, NI, Overpayments)
- Assist with the year end process including producing P11D/P9D
- Sound working knowledge of RTI and auto-enrolment
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure all employee records are accurate and produce ad hoc reports as requested
- To assist the International Payroll Manager with any ad hoc duties across both UK and International markets as and when required
- Manage the International Payroll inbox which involves but not limited to liaising with employees and third party payroll providers
- Deal with staff queries about pay dates, absences, timesheets, enquiries regarding pay amounts and escalating them to the International Payroll Manager as appropriate
- Liaise with third party payroll providers
- Keep abreast of any changes in UK legislation to ensure the Company is compliant at all times
- Ability to manage UK payroll processes independently
Administration
- To ensure accurate records of all relevant paperwork are maintained effectively to allow audit trail queries
- To manage employees files accurately and ensure they fulfil compliance criteria
- Contribute to the ongoing monitoring, review and implementation of improvements to the administration processes for the payroll procedures as necessary
- Maintain the payroll manual for all countries and internal department use
