The function
Finance operates at the heart of Avios Group Limited (AGL), providing company-wide finance support, management information and reporting for the Avios loyalty programmes including the BA Executive Club and Iberia Plus.

Job purpose
The Senior Finance Analyst will provide finance support across all departments, managing the forecasting, reporting and control of all overheads.

Key role responsibilities
- Manage reporting for overheads, including variance analysis and commentary for all departments and spend types
- Business partner certain departments to work with the business to manage costs
- Improve and manage the forecast process to ensure it is accurate and timely. Document risks and opportunities and work with the business to achieve targets.
- Improve governance and financial control around spending across the business
- Review balance sheet reconciliations as required
- Ad hoc analysis and project work as required

Skills, qualifications, expertise and experience
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate financial information to managers outside of Finance
- Previous experience of providing training & supporting Managers on processes & systems
- Proven track record of developing & implementing process improvements
- Strong analytical and Excel skills (including pivot tables, vlookup)
- Part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) - desirable
- Management accounting experience, including reporting experience - essential
- Experience of working with forecasts and budgets is desirable, especially the confidence & ability to challenge forecasts
