Project Accountant

I’m working with a Private-Equity backed software business which is looking for a technically strong Project Accountant to help them improve their financial accounts post-investment. You will effectively be the No2 in finance, working closely with the PE house to gain a thorough understanding of their vision of what the management accounting should look like. Over a 6 month contract, the core measurable of this role is to provide the business with top quality management accounts, correct cost allocations and improved chartered accounts.

The Role:

• Constantly communicating with the Private Equity house, diving into their requirements for the monthly management accounts at a granular level.
• Communicate across the business to gain a clear view of any information gaps.
• Improve the standard of the chartered and management accounts.
• Ensure costs are allocated correctly.
• Some reconciliation work for historic data.

The Requirements:

• You must be ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified. Candidates from a Big 4 background will be preferred.
• Solid track record of senior stakeholder management is an absolute necessity.
• Ideally, you will have experience within a Private Equity backed company. This is advantageous due to crucial communicative element in the role.
• Excellent experience with producing top quality management accounts.
• Fantastic excel skills is a must, as all the reporting is currently excel driven.
• Due to the location, candidates must be able to drive.
• You must be immediately available or on a 1 week notice period.
