If so, the Apple Certified Macintosh Technician position available in our new Cork based service centre may be ideal for you. Harvey Norman is looking for a highly organised, customer focused and technical individual to join our team of Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians (ACMT) at our growing Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) repair centre based in Cork. The role will involve delivering an exceptional standard of Apple hardware and software service to all Harvey Norman stores nationwide alongside various other clients. This is a challenging position, requiring an ability to be a problem solver with exceptional time management skills, an ability to work alone and also have a strong interest in Apple products and technology. Successful candidates must be self-sufficient in all day-to-day duties with an ability to work unaided to resolve technical challenges. Apple accredited ACMT and Comptia A+ qualifications are desirable, but not essential - training can be provided for the ideal candidate. YOUR JOB - your tasks will include: Diagnose and troubleshoot Apple devices for customer reported symptoms Complete warranty, non-warranty, upgrade and customisation services on Apples Macintosh and iOS range Maintenance of customer records via Harvey Normans service database to allow for real-time repair status updates Utilize the point of sale system to maintain an accurate record of customer information Part ordering and management Administrative work associated with part ordering, invoicing etc. Accurate and detailed technical reporting writing Produce repair/replacement and service estimates to customers and clients Explain complex technical issues to customers and clients in a non-technical, simple to understand manner Answer phone calls with a professional, courteous and friendly demeanor Ensure all works carried out meet or exceed Harvey Norman/Apples quality standards Supporting Apple Hollyhill employees offering a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the service centre. Candidate must be available for training between our Dublin and Cork repair centres, accommodation will be provided for all training. YOUR PROFILE - your knowledge, skills and experience include: A strong desire to further technical knowledge A real passion for IT with a desire to stay abreast of new technologies Previous experience offering customer service and support on Mac/PC, Android/iOS (tablet/phone) or game console technology An ability to successfully problem solve and troubleshoot across a range of devices and software platforms Excellent technical, problem solving, and analytic skills Outstanding customer service skills - experience in a client facing customer service position highly desirable An ability to manage several short, medium and long terms projects simultaneously over various periods of time Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong time management skills Exceptional organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) Strong ICT skills  - (ECDL qualification desirable) Why people join us: We're Dynamic and growing!
