This is an excellent opportunity for a NQ Accountant looking for their 1st step out of Practice, or a technically sound accountant will excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
My client is a forward thinking, progressive Housing Association based in Cardiff who have created a new role within the organisation. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of Treasury and Banking Management including cash flow reporting; development of investment appraisal financial reviews; and accounting records and disclosures for capital items.
The Treasury & Capital Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for all aspects of Treasury and Banking Management; development of investment appraisal financial reviews; and accounting records and disclosures for capital items.
Key areas of the role will cover;
- Maintaining the very detailed fixed asset register
- Depreciation calculations
- Securitisation of assets
- Managing relationships with lenders and bankers including the administration of loan agreements and banking mandates
- Administration of the asset and liabilities register.
The Treasury & Capital Accountant will assist the Head of Finance with the drafting of statutory accounts and other statutory returns, with overall responsibility for the production and assessment of key disclosure notes relating to capital, development, loans and interest payments.
Profile
You will be a fully qualified Accountant and possess ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualifications.
You will have excellent technical accounting skills and be up to speed with all FRS's.
You will be able to manage multiple projects at any given time.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with both finance and non finance staff internally and externally with key lenders.
Job Offer
Salary circa £35,571 - £37,771
Flexible working 35 hours a week
Annual Leave 25 days plus 12 bank holiday, plus one additional day after 5 and 10 year's service.
