Management Accountant

We are seeking a ACCA newly qualified /finalist or equivalent qualification, to support a transitional phase in a group's financial reporting process. Based in Huntingdon, this is a full time position, 6 month contract, with opportunity to stay on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will need experience in re-working budgets and also previous experience in accounting re-structure projects

Key Skills/Qualifications

• ACCA Newly Qualified/Finalist or equivalent qualification

• Strong experience of Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience of using Sage 50 is desirable but not essential

• A competent level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer and Outlook

• Excellent numeracy, written, oral and communication skills

• Ability to prioritise a varied workload & work on own initiative to develop the role

• A collaborative and innovative approach to working

• Act with integrity at all times when working with stakeholders

Main Duties

• Preparation of management accounts, to include review of all aspects

(accruals, prepayments, fixed asset etc)

• Preparation and reconciliation of schedules from granular data sets

• Reworking of high level budget into G/L lines

• Preparing excel models for new reporting structure

• Assist with revenue recognition review process

• Provide support for finance assistant when required

• Interact directly with the finance team to drive processes and unify the Company’s accounting structure.
