Job Purpose/Primary Objective: Credit Business Excellence (BE) and PMO team exists within Credit Risk / Group Risk department with the organisation. The team performs the following key activities: Provide back office / business excellence support regarding Credit Risk budget and programme planning and execution; Provide active support to on-going workstack activities, identifying improvement through analysis of processes and data; Supports analysis and forecast of the team capacity against Credit workstack, ensuring the two are balanced; Supports the operating rhythm of Credit Risk, ensuring project deliverable are fully understood. Providing hands-on support, whenever possible; Provides direction and consultancy in relation to the project management best practices. Project manage projects within Credit Risk as agreed; Recognises and collates operating risks and compliance items and supporting their mitigation and closure; Supports various administrative and logistics activities for Credit Risk. Key Accountabilities/Essence of the Personal Assistant to the Director of Group Operations role: The primacy of the Credit Risk Business Unit Control tester role is to support the Credit Risk Analyst in the ToD (test of design) and ToE (test of effectiveness) of controls within the Credit Risk RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment). They will have the responsibility for ensuring that all ToD and ToE is in line with the Business Control Assurance procedures. Specifically, the Credit Risk Business Unit Control tester will be responsible for carrying out the ToD & ToE within Credit Risk and ensuring that all gaps are identified and documented appropriately. The Business Unit Control Tester is responsible for the following: Assisting the Credit Risk Analyst in designing and executing the control testing; Assisting the Credit Risk Analyst in setting standards for appropriate test management including guidance on sampling strategy, test of design / implementation and operating effectiveness; Supporting the Credit Risk Analyst in assessing adherence and consistency with ICF (Internal Control Framework) Testing Methodology; Supporting the Credit Risk Analyst in coordinating and reporting on BCA Testing and Assurance activity; Assisting the Credit Risk Analyst in tracking of remediation plans through to successful completion Expertise and Qualifications / Technical Competencies / Expected Knowledge & Skills Experience Prior experience in the Financial Services industry (banking sector preferably). 2-4 years of relevant risk management knowledge (ERM, RCSA). Previous experience in process improvements and/or testing experience is essential. Expected Knowledge & Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to translate verbal or written information pertaining to business process activities into ERM/RCSA risks, controls and test cases. Highly PC literate with a good working experience of all Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and Visio, but also PowerPoint and Word. Self-motivated, ability to reach deadlines in an organised manner.Track record of delivering results. Ability to work well in the context of changing priorities and time pressures.
