Description
The Financial Controller based in London will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage the annual accounts audit and income tax preparation process for the Group in close cooperation with our external tax advisors
- Manage monthly consolidated accounting processes of the Group and coordinate with all group entities
- Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L and CF statements based on input from different subsidiaries
- Forecast of key business metrics, i.e. cash flow / profitability / debt activity
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts
- Analyze the company's actual performance compared to the business plan
- Develop tools to enable effective decision making for the business units using excel and other BI solutions
Profile
The Financial Controller based in London will have had the following exposure:
- Experience in an accounting firm, as financial controller or in a comparable role
- Ideally half of experience with a well-known accounting firm and other half in a controllership function, but other combination of relevant experience is considered
- ACA or other meaningful qualifications are a plus
- Audit background is a plus
- Degree in business administration, preferably with focus on accounting
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong understanding of BS, P&L and CF
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Experience with inter-company accounting processes
- Proficiency in excel
- Soft skills
- Pragmatism combined with strive to accuracy
