Part Time Financial Controller

Description

The Financial Controller based in London will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage the annual accounts audit and income tax preparation process for the Group in close cooperation with our external tax advisors

• Manage monthly consolidated accounting processes of the Group and coordinate with all group entities

• Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L and CF statements based on input from different subsidiaries

• Forecast of key business metrics, i.e. cash flow / profitability / debt activity

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts

• Analyze the company's actual performance compared to the business plan

• Develop tools to enable effective decision making for the business units using excel and other BI solutions

Profile

The Financial Controller based in London will have had the following exposure:

• Experience in an accounting firm, as financial controller or in a comparable role

• Ideally half of experience with a well-known accounting firm and other half in a controllership function, but other combination of relevant experience is considered

• ACA or other meaningful qualifications are a plus

• Audit background is a plus

• Degree in business administration, preferably with focus on accounting

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Strong understanding of BS, P&L and CF

• Experience with creating financial statements

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

• Experience with inter-company accounting processes

• Proficiency in excel

• Soft skills

• Pragmatism combined with strive to accuracy

• Analytical mindset, enjoys handling of numbers
