Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Supervises a group of employees or outside contractors/vendors to maintain equipment in validated state to support production schedule. * Schedules, tracks, facilitates, ensures efficient and effective use of maintenance resources to perform preventive and break down maintenance. * Ensuring that there are no breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes. * Conducting regular inspection and maintenance of all the equipment in manufacturing. * Leading a team of Technicians, assigning work, review and approve work, and ensure documentation is correct for all work. * Planning maintenance and service activities in a way that the process of production does not get hampered. * Ensuring that the machinery and equipments are being used to full capacity and that production is optimum. * Keeping a record of all service, maintenance and refurbishing works carried out on the machinery. * Plans and schedules maintenance repairs/modifications of facility and process equipment. * Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs). * Troubleshoot process equipment problems and make required changes. * Support equipment investigations to drive reliability and performance. * Ensure all areas of responsibility are compliance with GMP regulations. * Promotes and ensures safe working environment. * Coach and develop direct reports. * Works closely with Operations, Systems Support, and Qualify functions to ensure Regulatory Compliance (FDA, DEA, OSHA, NFPA) and prompt customer service. * Creates, updates, and monitors reports on departmental objectives and activities. * Develops and maintains team skills/knowledge in safety, quality, shared values and technology to support department objectives. Analyzes and provide written reports of maintenance trends. * Provides timely verbal and written communications with team and customers. * SLA negotiations with relevant vendors to deliver value. * Identifies, proposes and promotes opportunities to reduce cost while improving quality. Education and Experience: * BS/BEng Engineering or related field desirable or Qualified to National Craft Standard. Preferably with 5 - 7 years' experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
