Your new company
A Government Department is seeking Project Managers to oversee and manage the master planning, construction, delivery to final handover of multiple infrastructure new builds, redevelopment projects and facility modernisation throughout Melbourne metropolitan and regional areas. You will be joining the Department in an exciting time of growth and development assisting in the thorough and timely delivery of public facilities. Initial 12 month role with opportunity for extension beyond.
Your new role
Reporting to the division Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating large Capital work projects inclusive of new builds, refurbishments, upgrades and redevelopments both regionally and in metropolitan areas
- Assisting in the coordination of project execution, feasibility, and achievement of financial targets from concept through to completion
- Project reporting and ongoing risk management and issue resolution
- Analysis of strategies, resources and business cases
- Engaging with engineers, architects, contractors and Government authorities
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or relevant field is essential
- Previous experience delivering Capital building projects for Government
- Full project lifecycle experience on brownfield and greenfield sites
- Knowledge of public sector infrastructure funding systems
- A proactive approach with excellent time management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
