My client are one of the most recognised names within investment management and an established FTSE 250 firm.
They have recently undergone an extensive shift in strategy and are looking for a commercially sound accountant to support the ongoing growth and continued development and change for the firm.
Description
The Finance Analyst will provide timely support for the Finance Director, Head of Finance and the wider finance team as necessary. You will also provide timely finance related support for, and build strong relationships with, other departments.
The duties expected include:
Board reporting
- Quarterly finance update - focus on key themes and trends
- Input to Board strategy presentations when necessary
Investor Relations
- Collating analyst feedback and relationship management
- Consensus modelling
- Quarterly Board reporting
- Shareholder analysis
- Track shareholder meetings
- Website updates
Compensation modelling
- Demand v supply modelling
- Yearend process co-ordination with HR
- Incentive plan monitoring and measurement
- Remco reporting
- Adhoc incentive plans, awards and earn out modelling
Financial modelling and Financial analysis
- Provide self-starting, insightful analysis of the business
- M&A opportunities
- Adhoc business models
Performance measurement and monitoring of businesses in transition or non-core businesses, when relevant
External result reporting
- Quarterly trading updates
- Investor relations presentations
- Input to Annual Report
- KPI measurement and monitoring
Profile
To be considered for the role, you must have the following attributes and experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Exposure to wealth management and/or financial services
- Broad finance experience
- Working in small or large teams in management reporting, financial management, financial planning and analysis, transaction services, financial services corporate strategy or consultancy
- Enjoy working in a deadline driven environment
- Advanced general use of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Willing to take on responsibility and 'own' projects and tasks
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Team player
