The business has undergone significant growth over the last 12 months and in support this we are looking to bring on an accountant to compliment the management team. This is an exciting opportunity / time to join the business, as it offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a supportive close nit environment and take on the end to end accounting processes.
The successful applicant will be either a fully qualified, or qualified by experience accountant with the role is estimated to take around 3 months.
Main Duties and Tasks
- Preparation of the group quarterly VAT return
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Preparation of budgets and cashflows forecasts for future financial years
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and month end procedures, including the bank reconciliations
- Reviewing and processing cash control sheets
- Calculate accruals and pre-payments
- Preparation of monthly journals
- Line manage junior reports
Skills required:
- Hold an Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA) of similar level of experience (QBE).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Advanced Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a team
