Finance Manager- Insurance

Reporting to the Financial Controller, and responsible for a team of 4 finance professionals, the successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and management of the financial reporting team, to motivate and lead a team and deliver reporting to senior stakeholders. THE ROLE: Preparing, reviewing and delivering statutory reports and accounts, Board of Management papers, papers for the Board of Directors and relevant sub-committees and other ad-hoc reporting requests Supporting the Controller of Financial Reporting in the continuous improvement of services to the internal business and our shareholders Maintaining good working relationship with internal and external auditors Supporting IFRS17 reporting implementation Assist the Controller of Financial Reporting by: Continually reviewing and updating of procedures to ensure they are current, complete and reflect best practice Evaluating and suggesting enhancements to further automate procedures for financial reporting Assisting in projects to improve the efficiency, quality and accuracy of deliverables Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Managing a team within the financial reporting team, providing regular feedback and ensuring quality and accuracy of team output Coach, motivate and develop the financial reporting team THE PERSON: Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE in a Financial Reporting accounting role Demonstrated experience of coordinating and delivering highly accurate output in an environment of multiple deadlines Proven ability to manage and complete a variety of projects simultaneously Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey.
