Client Details
The company is a large UK business with a strong track record and reputation in their field of manufacturing, operations and development. This is a newly created role which exists to provide further resource to the Head of Finance, to support both the reporting and control requirements of the divisions.
Description
This role will own the financial reporting process for two large divisions, leading the management accounting team. In addition, you would be responsible for delivering strong financial control, with a focus on the balance sheet, cash reporting and overhead spend. You will assist in driving innovation in finance processes across the business, supporting automation of core processes, and working with the leadership team to develop finance systems.
For the month end reporting process, you will ensure that the management accounting team deliver the reporting in line with the group reporting timescales. You will support the business in analysing the reported data. In addition, you will monitor the reconciliation between the general ledger to cost reports, to make sure that all items are justified and accounted for. You will review overhead and bid costs in conjunction with budget holders.
In Financial Control, you will support the integrity of the financial results through rigorous inspection of the balance sheet, ensuring strong control. You will also provide support to group in any projects to ensure compliance with GAAP.
You will maintain cash reporting and control, working with the Senior FP&A Analyst to ensure that variances to forecast are understood and mitigating actions implemented.
You will engage with joint venture stakeholders to ensure that the requirements of the group are understood and followed.
Finally you will business partner with non-finance stakeholders as the first point of contact within finance, providing added value support to the wider business.
Profile
This role would suit a talented qualified accountant, currently in a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller role, keen to move to a large company. The successful candidate will have ideally trained in practice, or a graduate scheme with a well known business, before progressing quickly to Finance Manager level, Experience of staff management would be ideal. A passion for innovation, and working to better IT processes would be great.
Job Offer
In addition to excellent career opportunities, the package on offer is a basic salary of between £70k - £80k depending on experience, a bonus of up to 20%; a Company Car or Cash allowance of £5,920; a DC Pension of up to 10% contribution (matched by Company); and 25 days leave.
