Department Description FX Marketing Middle Office provides operational support to the FX Sales Marketing business. The team was set up in April 2015 to provide dedicated assistance to FX Marketers with streamlining and addressing sales specific operational challenges. The team is responsible for enforcing a control environment by implementing and performing periodic trade booking controls, promoting continuous efficiency through ownership of the sales tech agenda and related projects, acting as a liaison between marketers and other operations team for the resolution of operational queries. Key Responsibilities
- The role entails significant interaction with a variety of internal business partners (Sales and Marketing, Trading, Credit, Settlements, Confirmations, Trade Support, Onboarding, Legal, Technology, Finance) in order to manage the operational flow of sales trades
- The ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and concise manner is essential whether dealing with the FO or when dealing with other support groups.
- Marketing Support is expected to liaise with the appropriate teams to find solutions to often complex operational issues that the marketer or the client might face
- Due to the recent nature of the team Marketing Support is expected to identify control or process gaps in the sales trade end to end flow and work with other business partners to address and solve them.
- Work closely with the sales desks to provide an end to end service across the trade lifecycle, including trade booking controls, reference data capture and resolution of operational client queries
- Act as first point of contact for the sales desk working closely with the other business partners to assist and resolve trade disputes and breaks
- Ensure adherence to industry and regulatory guidelines
- Enforcing a controlled environment for the end to end process
- Accurately produce, reconcile & explain MIS data to Sales and Management
- Ensure KPIs are met on a daily basis
- Perform key controls to ensure accuracy and compliance of sales activities
- Challenge the status quo; innovate inefficient processes and close unseen control gaps
- Strong product knowledge of OTC derivatives
