My client is an SME and the role of Finance Manager will be leading and managing all the finance functions. These will include (but not be limited to) managing payroll, overseeing management and statutory accounts and providing analysis, while also working closely with the Finance Director in building future strategy for the continued rapid growth of this SME.

My client is an SME in the IT and office solutions sector. They are based in the heart of Central London and are rapidly growing. They are an open-plan SME and their moto runs under "work hard, play hard" and this is demonstrated through their social culture. They are passionate about developing their employees and the role of Finance Manager will be working closely with the Finance Director in terms of future change that is happening in the company.
Description
This SME is rapidly growing with a "buy and build strategy", this means the Finance Manager will soon be involved in supporting this strategy and aiding in integration. Key responsibilities, however, will include:
- Provide support, expertise and management to junior members;
- Continually looking to improve and automate processes around month end;
- Ensure the correct postings of financial transactions from a tax perspective;
- Manage an effective and efficient credit control function;
- Ensuring a strong and effective monthly cash flow;
- Take ownership of the year-end audit and statutory accounts;
- Lead Payroll, VAT & HMRC process including submission;
- Coordinating new systems;
- Budgeting and Forecasting of management accounts and variance analysis when required;
- Adhoc projects which will gain frequency as the role progresses;
Profile
As a successful candidate for this role, you will have:
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA full qualification (or equivalent);
- 1-5 years PQE;
- SME exposure;
- At least one role in industry;
- demonstrative exposure to implementing systems;
- be comfortable working with all levels of the business and reporting into senior management;
- demonstrative managing experience;
- exposure to payroll & credit controls & VAT
Job Offer
On offer to you as the successful candidate for this role will be:
- £50,000- £55,000 (dependent on experience);
- Key progression within 12-18 months ;
- A chance to experience acquisitions and consequential integrations
