Finance Director - New & Exclusive HNH Human Capital has been exclusively retained by well-established and rapidly growing retailer to appoint a Finance Director. This is a strategic and executive level appointment within the retail sector and is an exciting opportunity to join the business at this pivotal time. The company culture is dynamic and ambitious and as such my client requires an accomplished Finance Director who has proven experience of scaling up a business and taking it through significant growth. This is a genuinely exciting executive level position which provides unrivalled experience within an SME. The role: Reporting to the Managing Director the Finance Director will have full control of the finance function with the support of an established finance team including a financial controller. The main purpose of the role will be to oversee all financial aspects of company strategy and responsible for the flow of financial information to the board and, where necessary, external parties such as investors or financial institutions. Monthly reporting to Board of Directors on all finance related topics. Oversee preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information with full analysis and commentary on all variances against budget. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for funders, and company board of directors Oversee completion of all company tax returns Lead all banking relationships and third party negotiations Provide financial support and due diligence on all possible M&A, Investment and new market opportunities Prepare and present analysis of various business opportunities including financial modeling The person: Demonstrable experience of successfully contributing to the growth and development of a commercial business at senior management level. Minimum of 5 years' experience at FD level within industry Ideally possess experience of M&A and been involved in a number of transactions Commercially minded and willing to “roll the sleeves up” Willingness to travel across UK and ROI on ad hoc basis Can do attitude Ambitious and lateral thinker Benefits: My client is offering a competitive salary plus bonus commensurate with experience.
