If you have been in an ODD role for a number of years and feel the learning curve on your side has flattened out, this opportunity could allow you to gain a new perspective and to learn from other talented professionals.
An outline of some of the key functions will include:
- Producing reviews on invested managers' due diligence status.
- Reviewing periodic output from allocated third party managers, communicating significant items internally.
- Taking ownership for investigation and effective resolution of any areas of concern raised in respect of allocated invested managers.
- Manage the on-going Audited Financial Statement review process.
- Responsible for performing thematic reviews on major developments within the Due Diligence arena of the hedge fund investment industry.
- Producing and circulating material supporting recommendations in relation to potential new managers.
- Attend regular team meetings and actively contributing to debate regarding investment recommendations to be put forward to the Investment Board.
- Contributing to the company's intellectual capital through market research and process innovation
The person:
- Degree level education at the very least, further qualifications a plus
- Have a proven track record and experience in a similar role
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong presentational style
- Appropriate professional industry qualification would be an advantage
- Professional with a positive outlook and “can do” attitude
- Previous experience of working in a small organisation/team; a self-starter as well as strong team-worker
- A demonstrable ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- The role holder will be required to quickly and pro-actively build effective working relationships with other team members and the key third party service providers. They are expected to demonstrate a team player attitude to willingly undertake a wide range of activities and responsibilities as required by the role.
- They may from time to time be expected to work independently with a low level of direct supervision and to demonstrate a strong desire to innovate and drive continual system and process improvement within the firm.
