Westrac currently have great opportunities for highly experienced field service technicians / mechanical fitters who are experts in a wide range of CAT products to join the training and development team in a Technical Trainer role.
The successful candidates will enjoy the opportunity to impart key knowledge and training to diverse groups ensuring excellence in the delivery of all mechanical trades both onsite and in house.

The role will be responsible for:
Delivering a range of training and development programs to qualified & highly experienced in house staff both within the Training Academy and onsite
Develop training material, resources and assessment materials
Complete relevant course completion documentation
Manage the learning environment in an effective manner, being able to adapt to different learning styles to foster positive participation and ensure appropriate behaviour
Provide technical advice and guidance to participants
Be a product expert to be able to answer any questions or have the ability to research the answers when required
Identify any specific participant specific training needs and follow up with any further support
To apply it is ESSENTIAL you possess:
Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade Qualification or Industry specific Certificate III
Minimum of 10 years' experience working with heavy machinery
Field Service experience working with CAT products
Excellent communication skills to a level where you can deliver a range of presentations to large and diverse groups
Demonstrable experience using MS Office applications
Willing to travel nationally to deliver training programs
It is also desirable you have:
Previous experience in a training and assessor role
Previous experience in developing training materials
