Working in a busy and dynamic operation the position will oversee the Financial Accounting team in providing financial performance information and commercial financial support for multiple business units.

Description
Key Duties include:
- Timely completion of monthly and annual closing processes for the UK business units.
- Month end reporting: P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis, sales & margin reporting and other KPI reports and analysis.
- Control environment: Co-ordinate site Sarbanes Oxley activities. Monthly balance sheet reconciliation processes. Monitor procedures to ensure ongoing financial control.
- Input into the preparation of rolling forecasts and annual budgeting processes.
- Preparation of consolidated group statutory accounts and group corporation tax returns.
- Preparation of group VAT return.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors and provide related schedules and analysis.
- Submission of reports to various Government agencies (Intrastat, EC Sales, National Statistics).
- Management and development of a team of 8 individuals.
- Ad hoc project work as assigned.
Profile
In order to apply for this role, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Qualified: ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
- Several years in accounting and financial reporting including a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
- Experience working for a US or multi-national company.
- Prior knowledge of LN, HFM and Microsoft Office software packages.
- Knowledge of statutory accounting and auditing ideally through "Big 4" Accounting background.
- Proficient in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organizational chart.
- Ability to analyze problems & scenarios and develop solutions.
- Good project management skills and ability to shift priorities as needed.
- Availability to work extended hours as required to meet strict deadlines.
