Costing engineer

Responsibilities:  Manage cost activities independently including generation of Costed Bill of Materials, cost analysis and price negotiation.  Prepare regular analytical reports including cost analysis, liabilities costing and value engineering  Accurately estimate the production and material costs with Product & Process engineers  Analyze material cost trend on a monthly basis / Provide spot analysis on request  Participate in developing compelling material cost solutions / proposals.  Co-ordination with other business functions including Sourcing, Quality & Supply-chain.  Support negotiation with suppliers & attend when required  Reporting & analysis presentation  Handle Ad-hoc and Special Projects University graduate with minimum 10 years costing experience in DIY products. Experience in product development, materials & manufacturing would be highly relevant.  Sound product knowledge in DIY products.  Assertive, self-motivated & excellent organizational skills.  Excellent interpersonal skill and negotiation skills as well as capability to interact effectively with all levels.  Willing to travel in Asia (40%).  Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin;  Computer literate. Proficient in MS Office, Excel Macro mastering is an advantage  Able to handle multi-tasks and possess a high level of initiative and integrity.
