Commercial Accountant

Commercial Accountant An opening for a recently qualified accountant to join a multinational pharma company at their Cork finance hub. You will be working closely with local and international finance teams in assessing credit portfolio performance and reporting. Your role: Support the bi-annual and annual compliance certification and reporting process, including SOX reporting and statutory audits Support EMEA Credit Controller in preparing monthly and quarterly aging reports Monitoring of credit portfolio and reporting variances to management Support and review credit applications for presentation to Credit Controller Attend month-end review calls on any unexpected variances or unusual accounting treatments Supporting Country Finance teams with guidance on internal policies and US GAAP accounting queries Your background Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 2-3 years' experience in a multi-national reporting environment Must be able to apply accounting knowledge to day-to-day operations and assigned projects Excellent communication and presentation skills Have strong Oracle or SAP experience; proficient in Excel Experience in bio-tech or pharma industry is advantageous Fastnet has a strict confidentiality policy - please be assured that your details will never be forwarded to any third party without your consent.
