Description

As an Accounts Payable & Receivables Manager based in the Farnham, Surrey office you will be responsible for:

This includes leading and motivating the team and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that the department delivers an excellent service in a strong control environment.

*To lead and motivate this transactional accounts Team circa (20 employees).

*Ensure that all payments and receipts are processed efficiently and effectively in a strong control environment.

*Review systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

*Represent the Team in new business improvement initiatives and lead the team through change.

*Identify and implement process improvements

*Understand the business needs and align yourself with company procedure and policy.

*Ensure that the Team is sufficiently resourced, this includes taking an active role in the recruitment and selection of the team

*Conduct regular staff performance and development reviews.

*Develop individuals to ensure that the Team possess the right skills and knowledge to undertake the tasks required.

*Develop and maintain good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders

*Ensure processes and procedures are documented and kept up to date.

*To carry out other delegated responsibilities as instructed.

Profile

*Experience managing large Transactional accounting teams

*Experience working in a Finance Shared Service Centre desirable but not essential

*Excellent people skills to support, motivate and develop a large team

*Ability to build effective working relationships with both customers and colleagues

*Proactive approach to examining existing practices and contributing to their enhancement

*Proven ability to manage and lead change

*Good working knowledge of the banking system including payment methods.

*Self-motivated and flexible

*Proven decision making abilities

*Planning, organising and prioritising

*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

*High level of numeracy and PC literacy

Job Offer
