Description
As a Management Accountant based from the Woking, Surrey office you will be responsible for:
To produce management accounts and provide financial support to the business, including analysis, interpretation and presentation, support decision making, development of processes, controls and policy and the day to day operations
- Produce the Management Accounts pack, variance analysis and commentary
- Liaise with the business managers, budget holders and the Finance Team to report figures
- Review P&L with Business Managers and assist non finance stakeholders with reporting figures
- Analysis of revenue figures, cash flow, costs and company data
- Compile all month-end journals including accruals/prepayments and upload to finance system
- Ensure integrity of the pack and continually adapt and improve management reports as agreed with the Head of Finance
- Address any inaccuracies or differences and constructively challenge stakeholders departments regarding information and figures
- Assist the finance team where applicable, ensuring day to day tasks are completed on a timely basis to ensure month end process is efficient

Profile
- Experienced Accountant ideally five years plus (but not essential)
- Analytical experience and skills desirable
- Outgoing, with strong communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to communicate and explain financial information with no finance individuals
- Intermediate Excel knowledge ideally (look ups and pivot tables)
- Experience using the Xero system is desirable but definitely not essential
- Proactive, confident, actively seeks and shares knowledge, skills and expertise with colleagues.
- Ability to use initiative and work pro-actively with strong problem solving skills
Job Offer
Salary £35,000 - £40,000, Pension 5%, 20 days holiday rising with service. Our client doesn't have parking onsite but are based very close to Woking train station
