Tax Support Administrator

Location: Cambridge

Salary: GBP20–22k

Type: Perm

Based on the outskirts of Cambridge our clients are seeking a permanent Tax Support Administrator to join their developing team.

Duties will include:

  • Set up new clients on CRM system
  • Undertake ID checks for individuals outside of the new client set up
  • Download documents required for Anti Money Laundering purposes
  • Print tax return for client signature, together with associated schedules and covering letter
  • File tax return online
  • Prepare bound tax return for client and draft covering letter
  • Update workflow
  • Draft new client documentation as required
  • Draft letter of engagement, update tracker and monitor returns
  • Prepare information request letters in April
  • Assist portfolio holder with billing, including drafting routine bills
  • Scan and hard copy file documents for the Permanent file
  • Arrange department team meetings, draft agenda, attend, take minutes, circulate notes and action points
  • Arrange meetings with clients, potentials and referrers as required
  • Liaise with clients for outstanding information required
  • Diary management as required (including booking in meetings as requested by managers)
  • Save documents in portfolio holder's Post Tray to Worksite as required
  • Draft and respond to emails and correspondence as required
  • Process expenses on behalf of the managers
  • Co–ordinate and prepare mailings
  • Manage and update the database
  • Book events and networking activities
  • Undertake other administrative duties as required
  • Assist with mailings as required
  • Assist with event organisation as required
  • Assist with reception duties and hospitality
  • Assist with archiving and scanning
  • Undertake other administrative duties as required

Candidates require:

  • A strong educational background
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to Intermediate Level
  • Administrative and secretarial experience
  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills
  • High standard of English
  • High standard of presentation skills and proof reading
  • High standard of typing accuracy
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy
  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to deliver high quality results
  • Professional appearance
  • Able to use good judgement and initiative, particularly in response to the prioritisation of deadline dependent work
  • Able to demonstrate reliability, discretion, confidentiality and flexibility
