Pricing Analyst - Telecoms

At Lex Consultancy we are currently working on behalf of a Dublin based regulatory body who are seeking to recruit a Pricing Analyst to take up a 12 month contract within their organisation. The successful candidate will be able to understand financial models and their associated economic rationale and have the intellectual rigour to constructively present financial and economic arguments and principles. Key responsibilities will include: •Project management of designated pricing projects. This will involve considerable interaction with consultancy firms where expert advice on economics and/or financial modelling is required •Undertake public consultation processes relating to costing and economic principles and methodologies to derive and set regulated wholesale prices and other related issues •Provide finance and/or economic related advice to various internal divisions in relation to market analysis and pricing related disputes, as well as assisting with queries from consumers, operators or other related public bodies •Monitor compliance with pricing directions and decisions •Research and apply pricing methodologies and principles for various regulated products •Ability to diversify knowledge base to include at a high-level: economic; engineering; and legal matters as they arise in the day-to-day regulatory environment •Other ad hoc requirements as required To be considered for this role, applicants will meet the following requirements: •Professional qualification in finance or economics, or other equivalent professional qualification, with strong analytical skills and substantial experience in industry or private practice •Significant experience in leading project-based assignments, including working in a multi-disciplinary team environment •Good written and verbal communication skills are essential •Good inter-personal skills to be able to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders •A high level of motivation and personal initiative is required •Ability to draft documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear and concise manner •Experience working in a regulatory environment, consultancy, or in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable but not essential Interested applicants will be free to commit to a 12 month contract and be ready to impress in interview!
