A leading regulatory organisation seeks to identify a suitably qualified candidate for the position of AUDIT ASSISTANT Reporting to the Internal Auditor, the Audit Assistant is responsible for providing audit support to the Department by way of assisting in the preparation of audit programmes, documenting audit test steps and preparation of audit reports. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the preparation of work plans and audit programmes for assurance. Document audit test steps including supporting documentations obtained during audits. Obtain required information directly or indirectly through examination of records or interviews with staff. Draft segments of reports and communications on the results of work performed for review by the Internal Auditor. Assist in monitoring implementation procedures to correct potential or identified internal control problems or weaknesses which include providing technical advice; follows up to ensure the deficiencies have been addressed. Performs other audit related duties that may be assigned. Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively orally Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & E X P ERIENCE Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or equivalent At least two (2) years experience in the auditing or closely related field is highly desirable.
