Our client is a large multi-million pound turnover business, and its head office is based in North Nottingham.

Description

The Assistant Management Accountant will be reporting into a qualified accountant and will be working as part of the finance team of c. 20. Your duties will be very varied and will include, but will not be limited to:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with putting together a trial balance and balance sheet
• Month end accruals and prepayments
• Producing expenses, sales and margin reports
• Analysing the reports i.e. investigating and commenting upon any variances
• Track expenses against budgets, and liaise with the necessary budget holders
• Providing non-finance individuals in the business with finance information
• Assist with the annual audits
• Coding of purchase invoices

Profile

To apply for this role you will:

• have some (albeir minor) experience of dealing with management accounts and/or analysing financial data
• ideally have some accounting qulification, or be actively studying e.g. an accounting related degree, CIMA, ACCA or AAT
• have good Excel skills
