ANALYST-PROJECT (CAPITAL INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT) REGULATORY AND STRATEGY ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for playing a leading role in the execution of the Capital Investment Portfolio Management Unit.  This involves working collaboratively with other members of the Regulatory & Strategy Administration team, as well as Project Managers and other key stakeholders to achieve a number of key deliverables and outcomes.  Key responsibilities include: Actively participating in the development of the company's medium term capital investment and business plan Supporting the annual capital budget and project approval process Supporting the maintenance of corporate project management methodology and standards Monitoring and reporting of the company's capital expenditure plan and project execution MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS The incumbent is required to have a combination of formal studies and other developmental activities which cover Engineering, Finance and Project Management.  The ideal candidate should possess: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including: Financial Reporting, Project Accounting and Accounting for Property, Plant and Equipment. Sound Knowledge of Financial Analysis and Capital Expenditure and Investment evaluation, Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM or similar certification). REQUIRED COMPETENCIES The incumbent should demonstrate good decision-making skills with ability to work independently, while always motivated and willing to ask and challenge traditional utility paradigms. The incumbent should have highly proficient mathematical and reasoning skills and be able to work well with others, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills. GENERIC COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Detail oriented; strong organizational skills; team player Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Must have a hands-on approach to work The willingness to learn and approach work processes proactively The ability to develop and sustain relationships with customers Effective time management, and analytical skills Good interpersonal and communication skills. Experience/Learned Discipline A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related field Knowledge of the energy and electricity industry would be an asset Knowledge and experience of Project Management tools and techniques would be an asset Knowledge  of quantitative and non-financial methods for evaluating project investments Must be highly proficient in MS Office suite of products; macro programming a plus Deadline: Applications, stating qualification and experience should be submitted no later than March 23, 2018
