RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
Principal Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading ISDA, repo, securities lending and other legal documentation negotiations for the firm's Securities Division
- Developing, maintaining and implementing legal documentation precedents, templates and policies, in coordination with global teams
- Working with internal and external lawyers to provide advice to the business on legal and regulatory issues related to document negotiation
- Providing training to internal divisions on legal documentation issues and processes
- Liaising across multiple divisions and with global personnel at Goldman Sachs
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years directly relevant ISDA/GMRA/GMSLA negotiation, 5 years industry experience
- Experience with other legal documentation (PB Agreements or other transactional documentation) and derivatives regulatory reform issues desirable
- Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially under pressure; ability to prioritize
- Must have strong academics and good IT skills
- Good interpersonal and communications skills and willingness to be part of a team
- Enthusiasm and interest in development of documentation skills and using such skills for the completion of negotiation process
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and develop full job ownership
- Japanese / Mandarin language skills as the role will entail some interaction with clients in Japan / China
