Come and join our Finance team. We need a Financial Controller, who is analytical, organised and motivated to drive cost base efficiencies within the Business unit. Youll get plenty of exposure working both internally within CGI finance and interacting with key members of our business. Youll also be actively encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge through both internal and external professional development to enable you to progress your career with us. Your future duties and responsibilities Supporting various contracts, you will liaise closely with our Global Technology Operations sub sector leads, covering all cost base and project accounting. You will report directly to the Finance Director and manage three part-qualified analysts, ensuring they are fully supported and ready to tackle each month-end. As the lead on the month-end process, you will ensure the project revenues are in accordance with the corporate revenue recognition policy as well as support the Finance Director on ad-hoc finance projects. Business partnering with Directors, project managers and key client stakeholders to maximise performance and advise on business impacts will play a key part in this role. Required qualifications to be successful in this role You will be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and be able to demonstrate experience of interacting directly with clients and non-finance personnel. You also should be able to show experience in reviewing accounts, identifying trends and working with them business to improve on these as necessary. Cost base accounting experience are required in this role, and you should have experience of reviewing a contract with a customer, understanding deliverables to the client and how this impacts how we can recognise revenue in the accounts You should be an effective communicator both written and orally and have an analytical mind in order to understand the numbers. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous. Being able to manage your time is imperative in order to support both your team and the clients.
