Mission Description of the Business Line or Department Kleinwort Hambros is the brand name of two legacy banking entities being Kleinwort Benson Bank and Hambros Bank. The 2 entities legally merged in November this year. The FINREP/ LIQREP Reporting team sits within the Finance (DFIN CMA) and is responsible for the Financial Accounting, FINREP and LIQREP reporting for Kleinwort Hambros Group to SG Paris and to the Local Regulator. DFIN CMA is responsible for the maintenance of accounting records, production of statutory accounts, production of Group financial accounts, production of financial reports to the regulators, liaising with the middle and front offices on maintenance of existing structures as well as new business initiatives across SGs UK booking platforms. The FINREP/LIQREP team provides assistance and are involved with other team functions such as Treasury, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Financial Risk and Compliance. The teams engage in discussions and support various ongoing projects and initiatives. Summary Of The Key Purposes Of The Role Preparation of the daily, monthly and quarterly LIQREP submission for Kleinwort Hambros for review by ALM and Regulatory reporting Managers Production of the AMM and FINREP submissions as well as contribution and cover of tasks across the Kleinwort Hambros Group FINREP/ LIQREP Regulatory Reporting Working within the production team and ensuring timetables and production tool kits in place and deadlines are met with review time allocated and issues tracked and escalated as appropriate. Co-ordination with Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Regulatory Reporting teams Assistance and involvement with other team functions, engaging in business liaison discussions and various ongoing LIQREP projects. Providing pro-active and positive support to the FINREP/ LIQREP team and other areas within the bank during a challenging ongoing period of Regulatory change. Summary of Responsibilities The preparation of Local LIQREP Reporting (including daily and monthly production) and contribution to Kleinwort Hambros Group FINREP Regulatory Reporting. Ownership and delivery of LIQREP including data enrichment, mapping, reconciliation and adjustments. Contribute to the processes for LIQREP and FINREP production, including planning and monitoring processes to meet all team deadlines. Define, analyse and interpret reporting information and results, providing quality analysis to allow improvements to the next submissions Responsible for delivery across all aspects of the LIQREP process, including but not limited to the data quality and consistency across reporting Manage, implement and maintain the highest quality reporting controls ensuring the completeness and accuracy of this regulatory reporting. Document and maintain local procedures within remit of tasks assigned. Working and collaborating with Risk, ALM, REG and wider Finance stakeholders to ensure the provision of quality information within strict deadlines. Actively participating in the implementation of new reporting requirements including new products and upgrades to systems as necessary, working with the ALM and LIQREP Project team to bring about new automated solutions, process enhancements and new processes for reporting as required by SG Group. Maintaining compliance with key regulatory demands and improving the quality of reporting as well as information communicated to internal and external stakeholders Support the preparation of the communication with the PRA and the Group Perform all duties in accordance with the principles outlined in the SGPB Code of Conduct, as well as the policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities, to ensure that you adhere to a culture that treats clients fairly and focuses on the long term sustainability of client relationship. Level of Autonomy and Authority Reporting line into Senior FINREP Reporting Accountant and decision making to be escalated to them. The candidate must be able to come up with solutions to reporting problems and be able to investigate issues on their own where possible and document these. Profile Competencies Individual contributor competencies as defined by the SG Leadership model Financial Services or Investment Banking Background. Regulatory Reporting Experience, FINREP and LIQREP an advantage Comprehensive experience and technical working knowledge of key accounting standards including IFRS Experience of application of accounting standards on a solo and a consolidated basis. Operational skills and experience of planning and delivery to deadlines. Communication skills and experience of dealing with teams and contacts outside of a Finance team. Analytical skills and ability to review outputs. Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies and procedures Knowledge of Regulatory and Industry Requirements relates to the production of LIQREP reporting Ability to work within the team and collaborate with team members to achieve desirable outcome for the team deliverables. Work Experience Worked in an accounting team before and has a good level of understanding of double entry accounting Good Knowledge of core banking products and associated accounting sets Had some experience on FINREP/ LIQREP/ Regulatory Returns (Desirable) Experienced on working on systems solutions to reporting Ideally worked within a Regulatory Reporting team as part of a Credit Institution (Desirable) Professional Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (Desirable) Education Degree level Education Qualified Accountant If you feel you have the required experience and qualifications, then please apply to the SG Resourcing Team, and we will manage your application.
