Business Analyst/ Commercial Analyst with renowned MNC (based next to Jurong East MRT station)

• Relevant exp includes Investment appraisal/evaluation, financial modelling, data analysis, performance measurement, KPI analysis, equity investments
• CFA qualification very useful (but not a must)
• Experience in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical and related industries preferred but not a must

Our client is a renowned MNC and a market leader in its field. For this role, you are part of the finance department doing the following:

Business Analyses

• Implement and execute the business analyses projects, plans and systems
• Analysis of results and forecasts of the firm's Terminals in Singapore including KPI's, capital investments and profitability measures
• Execute and report on in-depth financial economic analyses of business plans and results, in line with the planning and control in order to provide a sustainable basis for management decisions
• Good with systems covering consolidation and reporting software (Tagetik)
• Develop ‘fit for purpose' ideas, KPI's and reporting templates to facilitate challenging senior management in enhancing the overall performance of our portfolio of terminals
• Contribute to ad-hoc multi-disciplinary projects, focused on performance enhancement such as benchmarking, cost competitiveness and post investment evaluations
• Other Data analysis, as required

Investment Analysis/ Project Finance

• Analyse business investment proposals, including Financial modelling from various perspectives and therefore in close cooperation with Division and Corporate departments, in order to provide an integrated and well-substantiated advice for management decision
• Contribute to the arranging of (project) finance for new ventures and new projects, including conducting comparative analyses, preparing investment memorandums and presentations, supporting negotiations and due diligence activities
• Contribute specific and general expertise to business development project teams during the identification, selection and definition stages (constructing business cases, challenging assumptions, scenario analyses, detailing finance structures, performing due diligence, etc.)

​SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or similar degree required
• CA or CFA preferred (but not a must)
• 3 to 6 years of experience in Strategy, Commercial / Business and Financial analytics in MNCs
• Has relevant exp in Investment appraisal/evaluation, financial modelling, data analysis, performance measurement, KPI analysis, equity investments
• Proven strong analytical skills and conceptual capability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for dealing with a cross functional team
• Self-Driven. Able to plan, organizes, sets priorities and deliver.
• Experience in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical and related industries preferred but not a must
• Expertise in IFRS preferred;
