About the Opportunity

The Project Accountant position will be responsible for managing and reporting on each initiative's financials and will have dual reporting lines through to both Project Finance and the lead Project Manager of each initiative. The candidate for this role will need to manage their time effectively across several projects and handle competing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain budget worksheets for each initiative and manage tracking of actual spend and monthly re-forecasting.
• Monthly reporting for each initiative, comparing actuals to budget to rolling forecast.
• Analysis and commentaries of any finance related issues - variances to forecast/budget, managing any misallocation of costs, etc
• Finance support activities for initiatives - providing financial guidance and disciplines to stream leads
• Provide training to new Project Managers in use of Project Finance tools (Hyperion system and estimation templates)
• Project capitalisation calculations and reporting
