Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children's Hospital.

Our Funding Support team plays an integral role in ensuring Monash Health meets Medicare and governing legislative requirements by completing auditing and data quality activities and also ensuring we meet the Department of Health's non-admitted patient activity reporting requirements. We are now looking to engage a highly motivated, reliable person to join our team in a newly created role.

About the Role

Reporting to the Specialist Consulting Funding Support Manager, you will fulfil a critical role and your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring accurate reporting of MBS data across Monash Health
• Completing audits on Specialist Consulting data entry
• Assisting with the review of existing, and development of new business processes where needed
• Providing education, training and support to end users

About you

You will ideally have:

• Experience and demonstrated skills and knowledge using a PAS (eg. iPM)
• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and billing procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• High attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with initiative, autonomy and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn with a positive approach to a frequently changing environment

In addition you have great written and verbal communication skills and display problem-solving capability on a regular basis.
