About the role:
As a Track & Civil Design Review Engineer, you will be working in a collaborative Engineering team reporting to the Design Review Manager (Track, Civil, Stations & Electrical). Working closely with the contractor and other stakeholders during the design development phases you will where necessary lead discussions within a collaborative framework to promote a smooth assurance process.
Duties will include but is not limited to:

Providing engineering oversight to satisfy the obligations and requirements of the MTM (ARTO) “Safety Management System”(SMS) and “Engineering Management System” (EMS) as tailored for the project.
Discharge all responsibilities in a manner that ensures the safety of the operating system is not compromised during the life cycle of the project including safety matters related to MTM operations, the public and project related contractors and third parties
Attend and be able to lead meetings, collaborative workshops and design reviews
Provide leadership to a team that ensures that all design reviews are conducted in accordance with MTMs agreed processes, in order to provide assurance that all the requirements of the ARO's Safety Management System, including operational and functional requirements and the appropriate standards, have been met
Assist and support MTM Engineering design reviews submitted and, wherever possible, construction matters, including contribution to the risk register covering the monitoring and reporting of risk status
Liaise with stakeholders and key MTM internal project groups, operations, maintenance, infrastructure and other associated parties to ensure functional requirements are met and all matters are effectively managed
Consolidate all the review comments from the team for forwarding to any relevant parties
Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements
Assist the Engineering Interface Managers and Engineering SME's in preparing and processing Type Approvals, Standard Waivers and Engineering Changes
Report on the progress of all issues regarding the assigned project tasks and promptly notify necessary management of any matters which could have a material adverse effect on project or the business
Ensure that the appropriate project records are maintained at all times
Consult and liaise with all project disciplines to ensure the design works are integrated with all other disciplines

About your experience:
You will be tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering with extensive experience on rail based projects including management and/or maintenance of rail infrastructure, and sound knowledge of diaphragm wall construction, tunneling techniques and access and maintenance procedures.
Additionally, you value the importance of teamwork and of listening, challenging your peers and making a difference. You are confident to bring innovation to the table. You have the agility to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining focused on excellence. Consultative approaches to providing solutions regarding challenging assignments mixed with exceptional customer service are critical skills youve demonstrated over your career.
