Gidgee Healing is expanding and we are seeking allied health professionals to join our new team!

Gidgee Healing is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Mount Isa and dedicated to making a long-term positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families within the region. Gidgee Healing provides a range of primary health care services across Mount Isa and the North West and Lower Gulf regions of Queensland and targets the following areas:

  • Maternal and child health
  • Chronic disease
  • Care coordination
  • Social and preventative health
  • headspace

Gidgee Healing is employing our own Allied Health Professionals to work within the multidisciplinary team as an integral component of the comprehensive primary health care services we provide to local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. At the centre of our primary health care model is the use of health checks for all clients, with referrals on to Allied Health to assist in the management of chronic disease and other conditions.

Most roles will include outreach service delivery into the Lower Gulf of Carpentaria communities, working closely with local service providers and participating in community engagement activities to enhance local health service design and delivery of culturally responsive health care.
