Roles & responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall corporate strategy and vision through active participation with top management and BoD forums to ensure optimized results.
  • Responsible for the strategic financial leadership, direction and development of the organization
  • Articulate, develop and update the Corporate Services functional strategies in compliance with the company's corporate strategy, and lead their execution in line with the goals and objectives
  • Responsible to provide the investment community with the functional structuring for JV deals and support those deals accordingly
  • Manage the setting of employees objectives and KPIs
  • Provide formal and informal feedback, coaching and support to employees in order to maximize their performance and productivity
  • Coordinate and work closely with the Human Capital team to attract, develop, manage and retain staff whilst creating an ideal work environment for growth and engagement within corporate services
  • Ensure embedding strong compliance culture within Corporate Services Functions and ascertain continuous regulatory compliance.

Finance & control

  • Oversee the effective financial control, manage the accounting and reporting of the Company and conduct periodic review of the functions and address control weaknesses.
  • Ensure the successful achievement of statutory financial targets and act as the primary source of advice to the CEO on aspects of financial management, stewardship and governance
  • Direct the planning, evaluation and management of the company's capital structure, liquidity, profitability, financial risks and other financial ratios
  • Oversee the financial information systems, their compliant use and their adequacy
  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of the annual budget and ensure it is set in accordance to the Company budgeting policies and processes
  • Support JV activities by proactively partnering closely with the JV teams to provide counsel and support in deal planning and execution
  • Direct the consolidation and reporting of financial results from JVs, associates and subsidiaries
  • Responsible for securing optimum cost funding for the growth of the company
  • Assume overall responsibility for the companies balane sheet management
  • Assume overall responsibility for corporate financing activities
  • Oversee credit rating process (where applicable) and take lead role in investor and analyst relationship management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Qualified accountant with formal qualifications (ACA, CFA, CPA, ACCA)
  • MBA (preferred)
  • Must be able to speak Arabic
  • 15-20 years' experience
  • Relevant experience with investment background and operational expertise
  • Board experience (ideal, not essential)
