French Speaking Management Accountant

Working in the management accounting team of 6, within the wider finance team of 50, you will be responsible for producing management accounts / reporting for the French entity of this international financial services business based in the City. Candidates applying for the role must be fluent in French and be either Part Qualified / Finalist or Newly Qualified.

Description

Our client is seeking a qualified or part qualified (final level) accountant who would have responsibility for maintaining the accounting books and records for certain European subsidiaries including France on the Group's SAP accounting system.

The person will work with other accounts team members in assisting and participating fully in the timely completion of all aspects of the monthly management accounts process for the Group.

With responsibility for certain entities within the Group, duties will include:

• entries into and maintenance of the general ledger, including all aspects of month end close;
• review and analysis of monthly results;
• reconciliation of and maintaining support for balance sheet accounts;
• production and distribution of monthly reports;
• liaison with local external advisers in respect of VAT and payroll entries and filings;
• liaison with auditors in respect of the preparation and finalisation of audited annual financial statements; and
• ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Profile

Essential requirements:

• Part Qualified, Finalist or Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• Strong management accounting experience with FX exposure
• You must be fluent in French

Desirable requirements:

• Working within a large corporate structure / high turnover businesses with international reach
• German language skills also advantageous
• SAP experience
• Financial services exposure (not essential)
