Investment Analyst DEPARTMENT / BRANCH: Office of VP Investments REPORTS TO: Team Leader- Motor Claims Unit Job Objective The Investment Analyst is expected to review, evaluate and recommend investment opportunities for investment by the various portfolios under management. Job Responsibilities Review, evaluate and recommend fixed income and/or equity securities for investment. Assist with the preparation of all regulatory and management reports. Conduct economic and financial research on various financial markets and economies. Participate in conference calls/analyst meeting for current or prospective holdings. Assist with the Budgeting and Forecasting exercise for the Group. Participate in the preparation of yield curves and valuations. Participate as a member/invitee of the Executive Investment Committees governing the respective portfolios (GLOC, GGIL and GAM). Draft articles, research papers, newsletters and commentary on the global and domestic economy, investments, trends and outlook for client circulation and publication. Review and approve daily NAV calculations. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Vice President- Investments. Education First Degree from a recognized tertiary educational institution in Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field from a recognized university or institution. Experience At least 2 years' experience in the investment management industry in a research or analytical position.
