Position Description:
Trek is currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support all domestic and international tax aspects of a global company operating in a complex environment. Primary responsibilities include managing the preparation of the corporate tax returns, review and analysis of foreign income tax provisions/returns, oversight of transaction tax compliance, support of income tax audits, tax research and responsibility for tax accounting.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the federal and state corporate income tax return process which includes gathering and organizing necessary information to efficiently prepare income tax filings
  • Gathering and reviewing of foreign income tax returns and provisions
  • Oversee transaction tax compliance (outsourced)
  • Assist in responses to federal, state, local, and foreign taxing authorities
  • Provide guidance based on research of US and foreign income tax laws and regulations
  • Review annual tax depreciation, fixed asset tracking system and software
  • Research and interpret tax implications of tangible property and capital acquisitions in a multi–state environment
  • Advanced experience with tax accounting and ability to utilize financial systems for efficient reporting
  • Assistance with global transfer pricing analysis and documentation
  • Assistance with Country by Country reporting for submission
  • Support Finance Shared Services, Supply Chain, FP&A, Treasury, Legal/HR and Financial Services on US and Foreign tax matters
  • Work in collaboration with other Trek team members in Finance for understanding of current changes to business environment
This position requires an ability to work independently in a fast–paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA; MA in Taxation a plus, not required
  • 4 – 8 years tax preparation and review of global companies / consolidated returns
  • Advanced knowledge tax implications for US S–Corp/Flow–thru entities
  • Strong technical research skills
  • Strong organizational skills and management of wide range of tax compliance issues
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team player, customer–centric attitude
  • Experience with JDE 9.1, Business Intelligence, Vertex, CorpTax and Checkpoint RIA a plus.
