We are seeking an accounts assistant to join our finance team located Waterstone Clinic, Lotamore House, Tivoli, Cork. This is a fulltime position working Monday to Friday. Main duties include but are not limited to: Assist with the preparation of financial and management reports on a monthly basis Recording of transactions in accounting system (Big Red Cloud) Assist with the management of accounts receivable to facilitate timely collection of outstanding debt Assist with the management of accounts payable including the preparation of a supplier payment list and ensure queries are resolved quickly and effectively Reconciling daily takings and lodgements Prepare accruals and prepayments for management accounts Support the preparation of statutory returns Assist with the management of petty cash and company credit cards Process internal purchase orders and employee expenses Assist with variance analysis and budgeting/forecasting Assist with the preparation and negotiation of service letter agreements Ad-hoc projects as required Financial record keeping and filing Ordering and sometimes sourcing goods and services on a project related basis Scheduling services of subcontractors relative to projects, supplying and confirming dates for completion of works General office filing for financial and project records The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and the candidate will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the role within the organisation and the overall business objectives. Requirements Minimum of 3 years similar experience Part or fully qualified CPA/ACCA/AITI Team player who also works well independently who takes initiative and works constructively to achieve team goals Strong IT skills and strong MS Excel skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills An ability to question and improve processes Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentational skills with an ability to handle queries in a professional and timely manner Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail A self-starter with a highly motivated attitude, as well as a strong desire to understand and add value to the business
