Wholesale Client On Boarding (WCOB) is a global initiative in JP Morgan that spans the Investment Bank, Global Corporate Bank, Treasury and Securities Services. The objective is to implement a standardized and consistent client on boarding service across the wholesale bank in order to deliver world class client experience. The role of Product Owner has been created to support the strategic workstream responsible for delivering a new Client Due Diligence system reporting into the Program Manager.

As a Product Owner on the Wholesale Client On Boarding - Client Due Diligence project, you will be responsible for the product development of a key functional area of the strategic KYC platform for Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) and Commercial Bank (CB) and ensuring that the project deliverables fulfil the business's agreed requirements.
You will be expected to combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used to create functional designs/processes across applications. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.

This role will include:


  • Building the strategic roadmap for the functional area


  • Represent the ‘Voice of the Customer' capturing stakeholders' and users' wants and needs ensuring that the working software produced meets those needs


  • Responsible for defining high level scope with the stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts and prioritizing them in order, based on business value and importance


  • Engage the customer and interface with technology, compliance, privacy, procedures, quality control and LOB groups globally


  • Sign-off the developed user stories post developer code completion and testing


  • Review requirements (user stories) for accuracy, completeness and possible duplication


  • Review and prioritize defects in the backlog, based on business value and importance


  • Provides direction for the Business Analysts


  • Assess cross impact of projects


  • Work with the system program managers to align the system roadmap priorities with the strategic vision


Throughout a project the Product Owner is also responsible for:


  • Progress reporting to the PM, including advice of deviation from plan at earliest opportunity


  • Ensuring all risks and issues relating to scope and analysis are reported to the PM at the earliest opportunity; manage these risks and issues as appropriate


  • The PO is responsible for determining the most appropriate analysis approach to be used for each project, with the agreement of the Project Manager and Technology Manager

Essential



  • Advanced Business Process Modeling and analysis techniques including production of Use Case Models, detailed Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, State Diagrams and Logical design Models


  • Experience on global / multi-site projects including facilitation of workshops with remote participants and rationalisation of regional requirements


  • Software Development methodologies (Agile, RUP, RAD)


  • Advanced business application and business process knowledge


  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, i.e., excel, word, visio, project, etc.
