The Business finance team works closely with management, practices, partners and business services teams to assist in driving its strategy, profitability, cash flow and growth. The team ensures an adequate financial control framework is maintained to safeguard the integrity of the firm's finances and plays a key role in mitigating financial and business risks. The team provides robust financial information internally and externally to enable decision making, effective operations and to help the firm meet its clients' needs and statutory requirements. As a member of the Business finance team, whether you are in core finance, taxation, treasury or projects, you'll play a critical role in the firm's success. The Opportunity As part of the Finance team this position will play an important role in supporting the ongoing success of our Alternative Legal Services business. The Revenue Executive with be based in our Alternative Legal Services offices in Belfast and support the UK, US and EMEA Practice Group providing daily support to the team with ALT revenue billing. Support the ALT UK, US & EMEA fee earning team, coordinating finances relating to legal cases. Liaise with the ALT UK, US & EMEA fee earning team the in preparation of client billing. Process time edits on client matters when requested by the fee earning team and support Belfast time edit requests Work closely with the ALT UK, US & EMEA fee earning team and global instructing teams ensuring ALT billing deadlines are met. Co-ordinate billing process on global ALT matters. Liaising with global ALT offices to ensure streamlined ABC billing that is in line with client billing cycles. Draft & check draft bills. Deal with queries regarding invoices and client billing. Weekly revenue reporting - for ALT - UK, US & EMEA. Investigate and report on any write offs or discounts. Responsibility for reporting work in progress (WIP) to the various ALT practice group leads. Regular WIP reviews to ensure WIP provisioning is accurate. Support Belfast file opening requests. Risk Management Comply with risk management obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role as set out on the firm's intranet. Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the role. The role will require occasional travel to London for training and Finance team updates. The role includes the potential of support of a relevant finance qualification. Skills, experience and qualifications Essential Either: Educated to Finance degree level or equivalent or part qualified Accounting qualification or 1 year of experience in a Finance support role. IT literate, particularly Microsoft Office packages (to include Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint). Desirable Transactional finance experience.
