Position Summary: Work with QuickBooks Online to perform all accounting functions for tow growing companies, including recording cash transactions, accounts receivables, accounts payables, Sales Force, overseeing monthly and quarterly tax reports, and maintaining accounting records, Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete for two companies under the same ownership in the hospitality industry and short–term rental businesses. This role may also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. This position will work under the direction of the Managing Partners and work close with the company's CPA firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?? Prepare financial reports on monthly basis, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets for both companies
?? Make bank deposits and properly record in accounting systems
?? Reconcile bank accounts for both companies on a monthly basis
?? Reconciliation of accounts receivables, accounts payable s, credit card statements and ensure accurate posting, document retention for mathematical accuracy, and proper recording
?? Coordinate and assist our accountants with federal, state and local tax compliance including work papers for tax return preparation for both companies, monthly or quarterly reports for payroll and sales tax returns, Forms 1099's and W–2's
?? Work with Account Managers, audit all "Final Invoices" to clients (approximately 200 programs a year) prior to release and manage final payments
?? Cutting vendor and expense checks bi–weekly for both companies
?? Manages outsourced payroll, employee personnel updates, and independent contractors for both companies
?? Works with our HR consultant to on–board new employees and maintain employee files
?? Follow internal controls relating to accounting procedures and personnel
?? Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts
?? Other duties assigned by supervisor and/or Managing Partners
?? Highly organized and detail oriented
?? Demonstrates ethical conduct, honesty and integrity at all times
?? Excellent time management skills and ability to multi–task in a fast–paced environment
?? Communicated effectively to properly perform duties and keep Managing Partners informed
Experience and Education:
?? Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field
?? 3–7 years prior experience supporting small, growing organizations in a similar role
?? Intermediate/Expert level knowledge of QuickBooks Online
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. This position requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
