Client Details
My client has grown significantly over the past 10 years and they are looking at doubling turnover in the next 3 years with an aggressive growth strategy. They are well positioned to do this and as such they are looking to expand their finance department significantly.
Description
- Thorough knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting software (or equivalent/similar software)
- Thorough knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll software (or equivalent/similar software)
- An ability to be able to learn new skills quickly
- Thorough knowledge of HMRC policies/structures - e.g. how tax codes work, SMP, SSP
- Business acumen and practical experience of accrual accounting
- A good understanding of the VAT scheme and its workings
- Assist with coordinating and preparation of the budget and reporting variances
- Ensure the preparation and publishing of timely financial statements
- Ensure correct and timely month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Assist with developing Financial systems
- Managing a small team and ensuring all Finance KPIs are achieved
- Have an excellent working knowledge of the whole Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel in particular)
Profile
- The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
- They will have strong management accounting and financial analysis experience
- They will be keen to further their career within an challenging and progressive international business
- They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interpersonally they will have excellent skills liaising with senior stakeholders across the business
- A clear ability to present financials to none finance
- Clear comfortable and confident communicating both verbally and via email with all employees within the business
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience of working in a similar role
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of managing a team
