Internal Auditor

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit Asia, this role focuses on successful completion of recurring audit engagements and special mandates, and providing support to the Audit Manager. The position involves a reasonable amount of travel time between Hong Kong and Singapore.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in planning audit work, performing risk assessment and engagement objectives setting
• Perform audit testing in accordance with the audit objectives set by Audit Manager / Head of Audit
• Make valid recommendations for organisational and internal controls improvements of the Bank's units
• Take initiatives for the conduct of audit issues
• Prepare the working paper audit file
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports
• Assist in the follow-up of Audit Recommendations
• Make recommendations to the audit manager for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process

Studies, Training and Experience

• Graduate in accounting, finance, economics, business administration
• Professional Audit certifications are a plus but not a prerequisite (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CFSA, CFE, etc.)
• Knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus but not a prerequisite
• Good command of written and spoken English, as required for report writing (Mandarin beneficial but not essential)
• Two to five years of experience with an auditing firm, a bank or an asset management company
