Financial Director

As the Finance Director, reporting to the Managing Director of the Stephen James Group, you will be responsible for advising the Group Board on all financial activities to aid the operational management of the Group’s Centres.  You will be responsible for ensuring the Company’s finances are well managed, audited and controlled in terms of profit and loss, financial plans, acquisitions, departmental budgets and cost control.  As the Finance Director, you will build and maintain positive relationships with key personnel across the relevant financial institutions, BMW UK, senior managers and the Group Board, and contribute to the development of Group strategy.

You will have proven success in:

• Preparing financial statements and reports
• Administration of employee benefits
• Cash flow management
• Implementing financial management systems
• Managing a high-performing team, achieving results through people
• Preparing budgets and long-term financial plans
• Mergers and acquisitions

Essential skills and experience

• You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with professional accreditation:  ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• You will have a minimum of 3 years’ automotive experience; 3 years’ PLC experience and experience working within a privately owned company

• You will have 2 years’ experience operating as a Financial Director or Chief Financial Officer
• You will have a valid clean UK Driving Licence
